Pineapple-Cornmeal Face Scrub
Print this Recipe

This is best if used right away - not meant to be given as a gift.

Ingredients:

1/ 2 cup cornmeal OR ground almonds OR rolled oats
4 tbsp of unsweetened pineapple juice (fresh is best, but canned or frozen is fine too)
1 tbsp almond or olive oil, optional

Procedure:

In a small dish, combine the ingredients together. You can use any of the suggested three ingredients to make the `grit' in the scrub. Use the cornmeal or the rolled oats if you're looking for something inexpensive; use the ground almonds to make a more luxurious scrub.

Add the oil only if you'd like something a little more moisturizing. If you have very oily skin, don't add the oil.

Pat the mixture onto your cleaned face, and work the scrub over your skin. Then, let it sit on your skin for about fifteen minutes to work deeply. Rinse off with cool water. Your face will feel great!

Tips, Tricks and Ideas:

You can also use this scrub as an all-over scrub in the shower, to smooth your skin all over your body. Or, use it on the bottoms of your feet to soften calluses.

You can even use a combination of the dry ingredients - such as using ground almonds and cornmeal, or cornmeal and oatmeal.

This mixture doesn't store well; use it within an hour or two of making the mixture.
