Apple Crisp In A Jar

8 graham cracker squares; crushed
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c rolled oats
1/2 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Sift together the flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Place in the bottom of a large canning jar. Place the rolled oats and brown sugar on top. The graham crackers should go in last.

Attach to jar:

Apple Crisp:
1/2 c butter or margarine, melted
4-6 large Granny Smith apples

Preheat oven to 350. Slice apples and arrange in bottom of dish (I usually use a 8x8 or 9x9 square dish). Pour the contents of the jar over the apples. Add melted butter to the top of the mix, covering it thoroughly. I sometimes add just a touch of vanilla or maple flavoring at this point, too, about 1/4 to 1 tsp. The maple just adds a different flavor that I like. 5. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let it cool for about 20-30 minutes before serving
