This is a yummy camp
breakfast to give your favorite camper/hiker
Instead of using a jar,
you can use a neoprene reusable water container with a
screw top to look more camping-like.
Purchase:
2 large packets freeze-dried scrambled eggs
1 jar bacon bits
1 medium packet freeze-dried hash browned potatoes
Open jar, and line with a
ziploc style gallon freezer bag (this is for the gift
receiver to use on a trip). Pour in one of the egg
packets, tamp down by knocking on a hard surface. Next
pour in the potatoes, and then the next egg packet. To
finish, pour the bacon bits on top. Carefully close the
zip on the bag and fold in so it fits in the jar. Close
the screw top.
On the egg packet, cut
out the instructions and glue to a piece of card, attach
with string. For a cute accessory you can find those
little whisks, or spatulas, attach with rustic cool
string. Place in a gift bag for giving.
